On September 10 and 11, 2025, the first edition of Méca-Culturales welcomed 12,000 participants in Saint-Agnet (Landes, France). Organized by ARVALIS and the Cuma Association of the Adour basin, this major field event gathered the farming community around innovation and machinery for summer crops.
At the Precision Agriculture hub, ARVALIS highlighted the Erasmus+ project AgriFood4Future, which develops training modules on precision agriculture and digital technologies. During the event, rich exchanges took place with farmers, advisors, teachers, and students. Many underlined the importance of accessible and practical training to better understand GPS guidance and smart farming for crop management. These discussions confirmed both the need for upskilling and the relevance of the AgriFood4Future training approach, which combines practical in-person classes and online classes with interactive videos and specific case studies.
“AgriFood4Future shows that knowledge transfer is key to making innovation effective on the ground. By listening to the expectations of agricultural professionals and teachers at Méca-Culturales, we can better align our training modules with real needs,” emphasized Bochra Kammou, digital program manager at ARVALIS.
Through this project, ARVALIS and its partners contribute to building the capacities required for resilient and sustainable farming systems across Europe.
