Capacity Building Program

The Capacity Building Program aims to empower small and medium agrifood enterprises (SMEs) and farmers with knowledge of emerging technologies for more sustainable farming, new farming trends and technologies, and entrepreneurial skills. The program has several international perspectives resulting from the cooperation of multilateral partnerships, namely VET providers, research organizations, and agrifood businesses.

🔧💡Technical Assistance Program

Technical assistance is provided through customized support to an individual/organization with a particular challenge or problem. This technical assistance program was designed to provide support, guidance, and expertise to farmers and agrifood SMEs.

 

🌟Strategic areas

Two technical assistance programs are available:

  • Technical assistance program for digitalization: AGENSO, a software company specializing in digital solutions for the agri-food sector, will provide technical assistance to farmers and SMEs interested in digitalizing their businesses. This digitalization refers to utilizing and exploiting available digital solutions related to proper resource management (water, plant protection products, etc.), helping to make informed decisions, reduce operational risks, and lower production costs.
  • Technical assistance program for decarbonization: TTA will provide technical assistance to farmers and SMEs interested in decarbonizing their businesses through the implementation of a renewable energy-based generation system.

How does it work?

  1. Participants submit their problems/challenges regarding decarbonization and/or digitalization on the registration form.
  2. Selection of up to 10 problems in each technical assistance program.
  3. TTA and AGENSO will deliver an introductory module, presenting their activities and providing personalized assistance to participants (up to 1 hour for each participant).
