🫒 Visit to Real Idanha – Regenerative Olive Groves
Join us for an immersive visit to Real Idanha, a pioneering project in regenerative agriculture located in the heart of Beira Baixa. Real Idanha produces Egitânea, an organic extra virgin olive oil made from a traditional blend of Galega, Bical, and Cordovil olives. These native varieties are cultivated across 180 hectares of dryland olive groves, where trees – some over a century old – thrive without irrigation or synthetic inputs. By integrating natural grazing, cover crops, and low-impact practices, Real Idanha restores soil health, prevents erosion, and promotes biodiversity, all while preserving cultural and ecological heritage.
