Short Description of the company / lighthouse farm :
Tenute Ruffino has 8 estates in different locations within Tuscany and Veneto. In Tuscany Tenute Ruffino grows more than 400 hectares of vineyards in the main DOC appellations (Chianti, Chianti Classico, Brunello di Montalcino and Bolgheri) and has 4 cellars for the vinification and ageing of internally produced grapes. In Veneto Tenute Ruffino owns 200 hectares in Treviso and Venezia areas and a big winery for the production of white and sparkling wines, like Pinot gris and Prosecco.
Tenute Ruffino is part of Ruffino group, a Constellation Brands Company.

Internship description (the tasks, responsibilities, benefits) :
The internship student will work in everyday operations in vineyards to understand opportunities and feasibility of carbon farming and precision farming to gain the best interaction “variety x soil resources x seasonal conditions” in a contest of climate change and not stable conditions.
In the internship period the student will work and understand -in practical in-field experiences- which everyday vineyard operations could be exemplary and effective for decarbonization and climate change mitigation/adaptation.
Results in vineyard will be validated in a final period of internship in everyday operations in a winery.
