Internship description (the tasks, responsibilities, benefits) :

Goal: elaboration of alternative, energy saving, production processes for bakery products (cookies, puff pastry, cake, bread, viennoiserie) and meal components (brussels sprouts, mashed potatoes, burgers).

Tasks: help to

  • Process optimalisation using new innovative technologies (inline microwave, infrared, vacuum cooling)
  • Product characterization: analysis like Aw, moisture content, colour, temperature profiles, crispness analysis, …
  • Elaboration of analysis protocols
  • Energy consumption calculations

Responsibilities:

  • Able to work independently after necessary training
  • Helping to draw up test designs and interpret results
  • Work and take note accurately and systematically
