Founded in 2018, Lisaqua is an impact start-up that raises shrimp in land-based

farms, with no impact on the environment. Its mission: to produce better, with fewer resources.

Thanks to its patented technology, Lisaqua offers the first fresh shrimp, guaranteed without antibiotics or preservatives, raised in France.

in France, in Saint-Herblain (Nantes) and produces 10 tons of shrimp a year. The company is preparing to scale up with Europe’s largest shrimp farm, in Seine-et-Marne in 2025 (500t/year). Lisaqua’s ambition is to become the leader in healthy, sustainable aquaculture. A network of farms in France and Europe will enable us to produce several tens of thousands of tonnes per year. Lisaqua’s shrimps, which are local and environmentally friendly, will thus be accessible to as many people as possible. Lisaqua is a winner of the FrenchTech AGRI20 scheme, the European gas pedal EIT Food and a member of La Ferme Digitale.

Internship description (the tasks, responsibilities, benefits) :

Responsibilities As part of the engineering team, and depending on the internship schedule, your main responsibilities in supporting and deploying new farms will include:

  • Continuous Improvement:
  1. Implementing tools and key performance indicators to improve farming operations
  2. Analyzing failures and individual operations methodically to develop and lead corrective action plans
  3. Managing feedback for retrofitting as well as revising operational protocols
  • Technical Support for Production:
  1. Assisting the production team with the technical and analytical aspects of managing and guiding production: understanding and conveying information, supporting production teams to enhance their skills, and monitoring production management tools
  2. Participating in farming operations to stay close to the field and production teams
  • Studies and Projects:
  1. Conducting technical studies on aquaculture processes: designing new installations, and developing tools for process sizing

Desired profile:

  • Preferably in the final year of an engineering program (Bachelor’s or Master’s level) or a gap year
  • Generalist background or specialization in process engineering, water treatment, hydraulics, thermal engineering, or aquaculture engineering
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement tools
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and synthesis skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent listening and coordination abilities
  • Autonomous, proactive, and responsive
  • Interest in startups and technology
