Internship description (the tasks, responsibilities, benefits) :

GreenUPorto – Research Centre on Sustainable Agrifood Production (https://www.fc.up.pt/GreenUPorto/pt/) is inviting applications for an internship in soil sciences, aimed at students or recent graduates with a strong interest in soil health, agroecology and sustainable land management, who wish to gain hands-on experience in a research environment.

The intern will have the opportunity to learn and actively participate in the assessment of soil health indicators, covering different physical, chemical and biological parameters.

Activities will include soil sampling, laboratory analyses, data recording, analysis and interpretation of results, as well as support in ongoing research activities. The activities will be developed in the context of the European project LivingSoiLL – Healthy Soil to Permanent Crops Living Labs, enabling the candidate to gain experience in applied research, innovative approaches based on Living Labs, and interaction with international research partners.

We are seeking motivated candidates with a strong interest in soil science and the sustainability of agricultural systems, who enjoy working collaboratively within multidisciplinary research teams.

This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in soil health assessment and to develop key scientific skills in an international research environment.
