AgriFood4Future featured in ARVALIS Digicolloque webinar
As part of the dissemination activities of the French COVE within the AgriFood4Future (AF4F) project, our partner ARVALIS organised a Digicolloque webinar dedicated to digital innovation in agriculture and the presentation of results from several European projects.
The webinar highlighted work carried out at the ARVALIS Digiferme in Saint-Hilaire-en-Woëvre (France), a pilot farm labelled since 2017 and dedicated to testing digital technologies under real farming conditions. Within this experimental platform, innovations are evaluated before reaching the market, combining agronomic expertise with field trials and close collaboration with technology developers.
Several European projects were presented during the session, including AgRoboConnect, Farmtopia, Gramicible, and AgriFood4Future (AF4F). The programme was structured around key themes such as weed control and digital agriculture, with concrete results shared from ongoing trials conducted at the Digiferme.
In particular, results from the Farmtopia project were presented through experiments on spot spraying technologies, while AgRoboConnect focused on testing robotic systems for arable crops and vegetables. Additional trials from Gramicible further illustrated the role of digital tools and automation in improving agricultural practices.
Within this context, AgriFood4Future (AF4F) was introduced as a project aiming to disseminate innovation through education and training. Its role within the ecosystem was highlighted as a key enabler for transferring knowledge and skills, ensuring that technical results generated through experimental platforms such as the Digiferme can effectively reach farmers, advisors, and the wider agri-food sector.
The webinar also emphasised the importance of collaboration between research organisations, industry, and farmers, as well as the need to provide reliable, field-tested decision-support tools to end users.
This initiative reflects the strong engagement of the French COVE in promoting AF4F and disseminating its results at both national and European levels.
