Emerging technologies for a more sustainable agriculture: AgriFood4Future CoVE Spain hosts a new webinar

On 19 June 2026, the AgriFood4Future CoVE Spain organised an online webinar bringing together stakeholders interested in the future of agriculture and agrifood innovation.
The session opened with an introduction to CoVE Spain, presenting its objectives and its role within the AgriFood4Future project. As part of the European network of Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs), CoVE Spain aims to strengthen skills development, foster collaboration between education, research and industry, and support innovation across the agrifood sector.
The main presentation was delivered by Josep Pijuan (EURECAT), who explored how emerging technologies can contribute to a more efficient, resilient and sustainable agriculture. Through a series of real-life case studies, participants discovered innovative solutions addressing key challenges faced by the sector.
The presentation highlighted several practical applications, including smart water management, phenological prediction tools, AI-powered assistants, and carbon farming approaches. These examples demonstrated how digital technologies can support farmers in improving productivity while reducing environmental impacts and strengthening climate resilience.
The webinar concluded with an interactive Q&A session, providing participants with the opportunity to exchange ideas, ask questions and discuss the potential of these technologies for the future of European agriculture.
This webinar is part of the AgriFood4Future project’s ongoing commitment to promoting knowledge sharing, capacity building and collaboration across the European agrifood ecosystem. By connecting experts and stakeholders from different countries, the project continues to foster innovation and support the development of the skills needed for the agriculture of tomorrow.
